The History of W2: A Tale of Two Twins

W2 Was Born

 

W2 Industries began in 1998 when twins Wellington and Wilbert Makonese decided to partner together and start a business. In the early days, W2 was a filing management business, and this was successful for ____ years. Through the experience and opportunities that were created through that work, Wilbert and Wellington saw a market for the supply of storage equipment to their past filing clients - and more in the future.

 

The W2 of Today
 

Since inception, sustainable growth, financial stability and profit has always molded our key strategies. Through visionary leadership, constant environmental scanning, teamwork and management thrift, we progressively realized our worthy goals. We have grown to become a fore runner in the manufacturing and installation of office, industrial and commercial interiors (i.e. Racking Systems for libraries, offices, supermarkets and hypermarkets.) steel cabinets, office furniture and hospital equipment (i.e. stretcher trolleys, drug trolleys and bedside cabinets) with a combination of mild steel, stainless steel, epoxy coating, wood and glass. With a 2,500sqm warehouse under 1 roof, our company is able to adequately service full requirements to any business or consumer. W2 Industries has a manufacturing plant with various world class machines such as computerized guillotine, computerized press brake, computerized turret punch, drilling machines, spot welding and more.

Over the years, with the direction from our founding managing directors Mr. Wellington Makonese and Mr.Willbert Makonese, Welli-Will Industries, has successfully managed to grow becoming a proud holding and competitive company in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. With several production divisions, in the manufacturing sectore, producing top of the range quality products including office furniture and storage solutions in Zimbabwe.
