Welcome on Tehillah!
Tehillah is the Hebrew word for “Praise" and a trip on Tehillah will certainly provide an opportunity to enjoy God’s creation in the splendor of Lake Kariba. Tehillah is a unique boat with open-fold sides to give a total living space of 320msq. You never feel confined when you are on the boat as there is always a place to relax and a view to enjoy in the peace of Kariba. Silent once moored, Tehillah allows for the full experience of the sounds of Kariba whether it is the haunting cry of the fish eagle, the penetrating roar of the lion, the laughing sound of the hippo or simply the chirp of the night time crickets.
Smell the lovely aroma of a cup of coffee in the freshness of a new Kariba dawn. Then enjoy your bacon and eggs freshly cooked by our experienced chef as you sit and look out over the water only a metre beneath your feet.
After a day of fishing or relaxed reading you can sit on the top deck and enjoy a sun downer as you watch the magnificent Kariba sunset welcome another night.

The Boat
Tehillah is a medium sized boat with capacity for 14 guests. The 15.5 metre hull is comprised of two pontoons that make for the most stable hull design when waves pick up. Powered by a Cummins 6cyl turbo diesel, Tehillah can cross the lake from Andora Harbour to Sanyati West Bay in 3.5hrs - one of the faster pontoons!
Lighting is powered by 12V batteries, and the stove and fridges run on gas - nothing disrupts the beatiful sounds of nature when moored! When the weather is a touch too warm, there is a secure 4x4x1m swimming cage - perfect for keeping just your head dry whilst sipping a sundowner.
Rooms
Tehillah is one of a select number of houseboats with open-fold cabins! This is the selling feature of the boat - what more can one ask for than to wake up to a Kariba sunrise from the comfort of your bed. Your room is as large as the far horizon you can see. The sides are fully adjustable and can be closed as a standard cabin should rain and wind pick up.
These open sides make for a pleasant draught right through the boat saving on the need for airconditioning that requires the thudding of a genrator.

Wake up to a breathtaking sunrise, take a moment to soak it in over some coffee and a rusk. Grab the rods, take and keep nets and head out to hook that elusive Tiger Fish on his breakfast run.
Enjoy a farmhouse breakfast cooked by our Tehillah Chef. Head to the top deck as our fine captain, Martin starts the engine to head to the next bay
Take in the breeze as the boat glides along the open water, grab your book and enjoy the scenery.
Have a cool, fresh lunch as the boat pulls into the new bay, and the crew secure it to the shore.
Cream up and head out for a solid afternoon's fishing. Or for those less keen on fishing, a peaceful afternoon of reading, board games and a nap awaits!
Swap the bursting keep nets (!) for a cooler box and binoculors for the late afternoon game viewing.
Return to the main boat for some bream fish starters and a hearty dinner. Bring out the cards, games or stories for an evening of laughter before settling down for the night. Close your eyes on a peaceful Kariba day and fall asleep under the 'light of a thousand stars'.
